AMANDA BELCHER

Amanda Belcher

Amanda joined the Edelman Brussels office in March 2018, having previously worked in the Washington, DC office since 2005, including a six-month fellowship in Edelman’s Moscow, Russia, office.

She is a proven leader of successful teams with nearly 15 years of experience supporting clients across industries, including food & beverage, non-profits and NGOs, health and education, around crisis preparedness, issues management, media strategy and outreach, internal communications, executive engagement and stakeholder engagement.

Amanda manages multi-market teams across the EU and globally to develop and implement communications programs to protect and promote clients’ reputations.

She supports clients’ ability to make evidence-based decisions by developing an understanding of the current policy landscape in which they operate. To that end, she has overseen global and market-level policy landscape mappings for a pharmaceutical client in advance of vaccine introductions, as well as managed a mapping across various EU countries for an expanding veterinary care client.

Amanda has been embedded with a number of clients in campaign and crisis situations. She provided on-the-ground issues management and communications support to Penn State University and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

Working in Abu Dhabi with both the client, Masdar, and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she was an integral member of the award-winning global public affairs team that helped the UAE secure the headquarters of an international agency. She has also supported numerous businesses through labor union contract negotiations, providing strategic counsel and leading internal communications and media relations.

A graduate of Penn State University in the United States, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations.
