Dariusz Dybka

Dariusz works across the Edelman teams on the sustainability agenda. He provides guidance on the European Green Deal, emissions trading, carbon adjustment, decarbonization of industry and transport, as well as the impact of EU policies on consumption and behaviour patterns as well as its social implications.

Dariusz Dybka started his professional career on the way to Copenhagen during COP14 in 2008. He gained his experience in the public administration, diplomacy, business associations and think tank. Was a Senior EU Affairs Advisor in the Brussels PKEE office responsible for COP24/25, electrification of transport and 2050 long term strategy. For the ERCST he covered the European Green Deal introduction and managed the multiphase project on the Carbon Border Adjustment.

Previously he served as a climate attaché in the Permanent Representation of Poland to the EU and worked as a climate negotiator and legal expert to the UNFCCC process through Cancun, Durban and Marrakech climate talks. Was counsellor to the minister in Warsaw and Alternate Member of the Kyoto Protocol Compliance Committee Facilitative Branch 2012-2016 term.

In the EU Council negotiated directives and regulations on climate change – ETS, MSR, CO2 cars, as well as the fuel and air quality – Medium Combustion Plants, National Emissions Ceiling, F-gases. Became an expert on the multilateral process through the COP Presidencies in 2008, 2013 and 2018, as well as the EU Presidency in 2011. His adventure with international relations and human rights started during the Lantos Fellowship on the Capitol Hill in 2007.
